Medieval braxare --Iustinus 23:32, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

Excellent! Though it looks like braciare might be a better spelling in some respects. —Muke 00:59, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Well, clearly it makes more sense etymologically. But braxare is the form taught by Terentius Tunberg, who is 1) knowledgeable 2) influential 3) crazy about beer :) When he mentions this verb he usually also mentions the nouns braxator and braxatorium. --Iustinus 15:34, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
I'm half thinking that x would have been the the Iberian /ʃ/—that and the other spellings I've seen suggest to me something /ʃ/-like was in involved the pronunciation—but I'd have to look into that. I also found bracina, braciarium, braciatrix from this stem. [1]Muke 16:16, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
